  1. Will the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony be held physically?

    Yes. The 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony will be implemented physically for all sessions and will begin on 1st to 6th December 2021. The ceremony will be implemented in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that have been set and subject to the latest instructions from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) from time to time.

  2. Are there any special conditions for graduands who are allowed to attend the KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    All graduands of the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony who will attend the ceremony must have been fully vaccinated and have completed the full vaccination period (with reference to the current SOP from the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN)).

  3. How can I know if my name is listed as a graduand for the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    Graduands of the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony are students who have completed their studies in Session II and III 2018/2019 and Session I 2019/2020 after obtaining approval from the KUIS Senate. The list of names that has been approved by the KUIS Senate has been uploaded on the KUIS ekonvo portal at http://ekonvo.kuis.edu.my/.

  4. How do graduands know the date of their convocation session? 

    All information related to the convocation will be posted on the KUIS ekonvo portal at http://ekonvo.kuis.edu.my/

  5. Are parents/ spouses/ family members allowed to be in the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) or in any area within the KUIS premises during the Convocation Ceremony?

    No. Parents/ spouses/ family members are not allowed to be in the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) or in any area within the KUIS premises during the Convocation Ceremony. This is based on the environmental factors of KUIS which is not able to accommodate the total number of current students on campus, graduands and parents/ spouses/ family members at one time according to the SOP about the organization of official events issued by the National Security Council of Malaysia (MKN).

  6. What is the medium for parents/ spouses/ family members to watch the live broadcast of the KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    The KUIS Convocation Ceremony will also be broadcast live on KUIS official social media (Facebook and YouTube).

  7. If graduands are unwell or have symptoms (such as fever, cough or flu), are graduands allowed to attend the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    No. You Are Not Allowed To Attend The Convocation Ceremony.

  8. Do graduands need to 'check in' through the MySejahtera application before entering the KUIS premises including the KUIS Convention Center (PKK)?

    Yes. Graduands NEED to 'check in' through the MySejahtera application before entering the KUIS premises including the KUIS Convention Center (PKK). Graduands are also REQUIRED to update their Covid-19 status in the MySejahtera application before attending the KUIS Convocation Ceremony.

  9. Do graduates have to wear face masks during the KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    Yes. Graduates are REQUIRED to wear a face mask throughout the Convocation Ceremony.

  10. Are graduates allowed to shake hands with the Chairman of the Convocation Ceremony during the scroll handover session on stage?

    No. Graduates are not allowed to shake hands with the Chairman of the Convocation Ceremony and/or Dignitaries on stage before, during and after taking the scrolls.

  11. Will the Convocation Expo be held during the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    No. The Convocation Expo will not be held physically during the 23rd KUIS Convocation Ceremony.

  12. Is the procession of graduates entering the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) implemented like the previous Convocation Ceremony?

    No. Graduates are subject to the guidelines for entering the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) which will be notified on the KUIS website before the date of the ceremony. In general, graduates are required to comply with the SOP issued by the MOHE and MKN regarding the implementation of the ceremony physically.

  13. If the graduate comes with his parents/ spouse/ family members, where will the graduate's parents/ spouse/ family members be placed while waiting for the end of the KUIS Convocation Ceremony?

    Parents/ spouses/ family members are NOT ALLOWED to be in the KUIS campus area during the Convocation Day. Parents/ spouses/ family members are recommended to visit some interesting locations around Bandar Seri Putra, Bandar Baru Bangi, Nilai, Putrajaya and the nearest surrounding areas.

  14. Are graduates allowed to take pictures in the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) and/or in the KUIS campus area after the Convocation Ceremony?

    No. Graduates are NOT ALLOWED to take pictures in the KUIS Convention Center (PKK) and/or in the KUIS campus area after the Convocation Ceremony. KUIS officers will instruct graduates to leave the PKK and graduates will continue to make the process of returning academic robes and collecting scrolls and transcripts.

  15. Are graduands allowed to postpone the 23rd Convocation Ceremony to the next Convocation Ceremony?

    No, you are not allowed to do so.
